Primitive Quantum Computers: The Future is now

Just like the Google and NASA, quantum computing is the new generation, it is set to revolutionize our world. In today's computers, by manipulating the bits 0 or 1, quantum computers aren't limited to two states, they encode information as quantum bits, or qubits, which can exist in superposition.The quantum computers achieve the unparalleled processing power which means performing calculations and solving problems that classical computers couldn't even begin to fathom. For now, the researchers from Western Australia demonstrated the capacity of primitive quantum processor. The quantum walk using a simple quantum circuit, constructed on a 2-qubit photonics quantum processor, the researchers were able to outperform classical computers in certain highly specialized problems.The new research will help design new quantum algorithms on how to construct larger quantum computers because it can contain these multiple states simultaneously which has the potential to be millions of times more powerful than today's most supercomputers.
