Night Vision Contacts Could Allow Us To See In The Dark

We probably all dreamed of having super powers and abilities like being able to see in the dark. But now, night vision is no longer a dream. It is now possible to see in the dark, thanks to the Night Vision Contact Lenses developed by researchers from University of Michigan. They created it with graphene, a super-thin material composed of carbon atoms that can detect infrared light. So there's no need for extra large eye wears like the old night vision devices, and no need also for built-in cooling unit that the old night vision requires, for this night vision contact lens will work at room temperature. Lead researcher Zhaohui Zhong stated "Our work pioneered a new way to detect light. We envision that people will be able to adopt this same mechanism in other material and device platforms. If we integrate it with a contact lens or other wearable electronics, it expands your vision. It provides you another way of interacting with your environment."
